As I reflect on last year I continue to be inspired by Dr. Bob Ross’ visit to San Diego and his words at our Accountable Community for Health kick-off meeting in April. Dr. Ross spoke about fighting the forces that seek to divide us and provided examples of the changes that are possible when we commit to inclusiveness.
This has been our “north star” in all that we do to improve community health and wellness with a focus on cardiovascular health.
To us at Be There being inclusive means to listen to all of you, to get to know your stories, to seek out the bright spots, to share successes and best practices, and to engage in meaningful dialogue.
And we will do this with open hearts and minds to go to places that may challenge us and places where greater truths can emerge.
My focus for 2018 is to continue having these interesting, exciting, compelling, sometimes challenging conversations with all of you.
